Don’t Leave Home without it
You’ve booked your flights. Now it’s time to take out travel insurance for all family members traveling.
Why?
1) Because the Kupat Cholim system doesn’t provide any medical coverage outside of Israel, medical treatment abroad can be very, very expensive, and unexpected things in life do happen.
2) Because once you book your tickets, you have exposure to monetary loss in the event unexpected medical issues arise and you need to change or cancel your trip. All Israeli travel policies offer coverage for these types of losses, but only if the policy was in force before the issue arose.
No two policies are alike
We provide travel insurance policies from a number of carriers. All policies have the option to include coverage for pregnancy or stable pre-existing medical conditions. We can provide coverage even when someone flying is under active medical treatment but, in such a case, please give us at least three working days advance notice.
Convenience
We carry a policy that gives you a Mastercard debit card in your name (you pick it up in Terminal 3 before you fly) which you use to pay for all medical treatment when abroad - with no deductible. Other policies require that you lay out funds while abroad (other than for hospitalization or air ambulance expenses) then file a claim for a refund of your expenses minus the deductible upon your return to Israel.
In addition to coverage for medical expenses, all Israeli travel policies offer coverage for luggage too.
