The Harel insurance company provides a health insurance policy for tourists and students temporarily in Israel. There are two coverage options; either through the "Clalit" health fund or through Harel's own nationwide network of health care providers. The policy covers a variety of medical expenses such as: visits to doctors and specialists, hospitalization, surgery, lab tests, diagnostic tests, medications and more.
The policy can be taken out for a maximum period of 180 days at a time. It does not cover any pre-existing conditiions or pregnancy.
Harel’s health insurance policy for foreign workers can be taken out by the employer for a period of up to five years and the coverage is according to the requirements of the Foreign Workers Order, 5761 - 2001.
